When i gave it a shot i watched Hoffman get a perfect 21 seven times in a row. Thats right
7 times in a row he got a perfect 21
after i lost that round i began a new one, and first round? Hoffman had 21.
Basically it ended up being a tremendous match between him and me where I guess luck in the term of the cards i got got me to win, because at one point I didn't even have cards but got the lucky ones to get through...I tried killing him at once suing the special cards twice inthe same round but he had 21 from the get go... it's scripted but you can overcome it...I'm not touching again for a while that's for sure. Well now I'll play it to win the bobble head dude but I'm in no hurry to do it!
You should always expect them to get 21, that's what the trump cards are for, to switch, add, and mess them up. Learn each of your cards and learn their cards to heart. You can't just play and expect to win every time the first time around. What's the challenge in that?. You have to count cards, use trump cards wisely and save some for counters from the big bosses. If you know you'll definitely loose. Use trump cards to lesson the blow you'll receive.
Also try getting the locked cards that you can easily get so you can have an extra advantage to your enemies. The only real threat is the level 5/10 guy and Big Head. But if you save your trump cards to counter their skills, it can really go to your advantage.
*You can also farm cards from weaker enemies at the beginning by not killing them off to quickly, counting their cards from the start is so easy and predictable. They also almost settle for lower numbers so you can just beat them a round without even using one trump card.
If for example the round begins and he has a 7 and you have a 5 and 2.
You should always expect that he got an 11 in his faced down card until proven wrong
If he hits and got a 4, In your mind he already got 21, until proven wrong.
You then hit and got an 11.automatically you know that his faced down card is not an 11 cause you proved it when you got it. you now got 18 and your mindset should switch and expect that under his faced down card is a 10 until proven wrong.
He then hits again and got a 1, then uses a trump card and summons number 6. and adds 2 damage trumps in your direction.
Now you know exactly his faced down card which is the number 3. cuase 7+4+1+6 + 3 =21
and you also know the remaining numbers in the deck which is 8 , 9 and 10.
Cause you already got 5, 2 and 11.
You know you loose this one cause he obvioulsy got 21 and you got only 18 and can't hit. It all now depends on the trump cards you are holding. Either remove all his attack buffs and use shield to negate your damage. Or switch it up with switch cards to make him go over. and you are free to drop attack cards to firther damage him.
This instances are so rewarding and kinda exercises your math skills if it became rusty like me ^_^.
* Further tip. Number cards that are removed in play are now back in rotation in the deck.
You can also only place 5 perma trump cards iin play, but quick trump cards such as switch can be played even when you have full 5 perma in play.

The reward was kinda mediocre.
Just added Golden Mr. Everywhere Bobbleheads in the room.

Hope they add Survival ++ or Endless mode.
The only "rigged" parts so far, are the first "boss", because you need to save up a trump card.
I had 21 multiple times more then 3 times in a row, it's not an issue if you are able to count the cards and save up on decend trump cards. Getting to know what your opponents upside down card is, is vital.
It's boring like that. And for those defending the game the joke is on you because once you figure out the pattern of each guy the game becomes predictable and boring...more random means less predictability and more fun.
It just means that different opponents are drawing from different pools of trump cards. It's better that way because opponents are unique and require different tactics.
more random = more fun, NOT. just ask ANYONE actually plaing card games these days. like, its completely the other way around dude. sure you could argue that since this is player vs AI it could be 100% random, but id say that its still worse than these scripted events that force you to catch up to it and play accordingly around it, it actually needs skill to do, and not just "ooh i just randomly got 21 and he didnt, guess ill win" or "i didnt get the 5% to get the right trump card, and now ill lose".
the whole point of this game mode is to catch up to the patterns and play around them, not just to be a blackjack game with random effect cards thrown in.
