I'd love someone forever if they could point me to a game that nails Labrynth or Dark Crystal. I know dark fantasy still exists, namely The Witcher, but man was that a different kind of vibe with the puppets.
Apart from the Major Releases like your Star Wars or your Indiana Jones's, I've missed out on so many classics from my time.
I loved Alien Isolation despite having never seen an Alien movie.. :P
Pretty good endorsement if there is no nostalgia to cloud judgement for Isolation.
Mia = Leatherface
Mrs Baker = Jason's mum
Lucas = Jigsaw
Eveline = The Girl from "The Ring"
Overall theme in the game early on feels very "Evil Dead" to me, only thing missing is Ethan attachng a chainsaw to his stump.
Wish they played up the SAW angle more since that's one of the few horror movies I think resembles what people seem to think Resident Evil is which I actually like.
Look up some Wrong Turn clips on YouTube. There is a fight where a guy get lit on fire and the inbreds seemed to have super strength. Though I do see Texas Chainsaw in it. Definitely Michael Myers with all the disappearing and reappearing.
Ever since the first game Capcom put a sci-fi spin on horror. Loved how they worked ghosts into hallucinations. I'll give this game that.
Maybe The Last Man on Earth is what started the infected stuff. Maybe it was Resident Evil that started zombies as infected rather than raised from the dead.
And I think Mia is Mia from Evil Dead remake)
I think Jack Baker takes a lot from The Shining's Jack Torrance too (aptly played by Jack Nicholson).
Ah yep, I was only referring to 7. I must have just skimmed the title and assumed OP was asking about this game instead of this series =P
