Can I re-attach my hand?

i didnt realize i could spam left click to pull the screwdriver out of my hand when mia attacked me
can i put my left hand back on or do i lose it forever?
do i just screw it on?
do i stitch it ?
do i use magic ?
help pls

Wow, you actually let that happen? That part was so simple though.

I mean you can continue the game obviously but you won't be able to use any weapons that require 2 hands, like the shotgun. It'll also take slightly longer to combine certain items and you won't be able to grapple certain enemies as easily (you'll have less time to fight them off)

No, you had your chance to remove the screwdriver and escape. You're going to play the rest of the game with just one hand - that is, your reload speed will be awful and you won't be able to use the shotgun at all.

You need to restart the game and try better. Loosing your hand at the beginning is a no-go for this game, just keep pressing LMB to remove the screwdriver before Mia comes.

Unfortunately, yes, those guys were just baiting you. The game does that a few times. My leg was cut off during the initial escape from a certain section and they show you how the "medicine" "works." But I absolutely love it. My question is, did you pick up your own hand? Ive seen around a 50/50 split of people who wouldn't leave it behind and others who were too freaked out to even think they could grab it. XD

when Mia grabs you for the first time attacking with the knife, the game popsup a tooltip R1/RB to resist. This button is for resist for the rest of the game. Unlike RE6 where multiple buttons dids the same thing under different circumstances.

to resist also includes when molded fall onto you, or when your hand is pinned by the driver. 1 button for the same action troughout the entire game.

You lose your hand no matter what and it gets stapled on later on. It's part of the story.

Up from the stairs, Mia comes crawling. Something has happened, she’s gone crazy, and she attacks you. This leads to a sequence of fights with her, eventually leading to her coming at Ethan with a chainsaw after she pins his hand to the wall with a screwdriver. No matter how hard you try, Ethan can only free his hand at the last moment, causing Mia to cut right through his arm with the chainsaw. This leaves Ethan without a left hand, and Mia vanishes deeper into the house.

At this point many players have found themselves confused. Is this supposed to happen? Can you go back and stop Ethan’s hand from being cut off? The answer is, yes and no. Yes, this is supposed to happen and no you cannot stop it. It’s a plot point intended by the developers. No matter what you do differently, you cannot stop Ethan’s hand from being cut off.

“But how am I supposed to play the game with one hand,” you ask. The answer is simple. You don’t. We won’t spoil the surprise of the plot, but the basic gist of things is, don’t sweat the hand. It isn’t gone forever, so you shouldn’t worry too much about it.
