Fix for HDR on non-HDR equipment?

So a few things, I don't have an HDR display and I've edited the config file to disable HDR with no luck.
I've played the game fine for the most part up until today when I boot it up and I'm greeted with an HDR mode is enabled message.
Anyone else experience this and possibly have a fix?

that should be fixed since the last update. chose HDR=off and take the next checkpoint to create a new savegame. That should overwrite you savegame incl. the configfile in the steamcloud.

btw. you cant change something in the configfile, because it will be overwrite everytime from the steamcloud. and yes, odd, but HDRMode=1 in the config means HDRMode=OFF
