Any solution to blood on screen yet?
Hi folks,

Great game, spoiled a bit for me by constant red splats on screen.

I'd prefer to be looking at the environment.

I have googled and others seem put out by it too, but I can't find a solution.

Thought there might be an init setting or something.

Has anyone found a solution?

Found myself healing last night just to be rid of it for a bit, but didn't last long :(

Bizarre design choice for such a polished game.

Cheers

That's what triggers me.
Like NOONE in the dev team looked at that and said 'these blood effects... they're kind of annoying'

blood on screen means you are injured. heal and it will go away

I thought it was because I was hungry.

so just avoid getting hit or lower the blood effect in options

By all means, have blood splatters when u get hit. I don't really need the input, but but hey, I'm pretty easy going...

But please let them fade. I don't want to be staring at them for the whole game.

Not helping mate. But thanks anyway

there is no health regeneration, so why let them fade?
also what do you mean with "staring at them for the whole game"?
you will have at least 30 medkits in 1 playthrough
are you trying to beat the game without healing?

He stated the truth and you asked if he is stupid.... So I must ask you the same... "are you stupid"?

I'm surprised you don't get what I mean.

As usual with games like this I prefer to heal when absolutely necessary, when I'm low on health, not use a medi pack to heal when I'm on green and just to clear my screen of red blobs.

Since I haven't played the game through yet, I didn't really want to know there are at least 30 medkits in the game and it wasn't an issue to heal to clear my eyes of blood.

I used herbs and medkits to get rid of the blood splatters and never found myself to be low on them or completely out........

Not so much aimed at whether it was true, more the fact of assuming that anyone wouldn't know the blood splatters indicate you had been injured.

There should be an option to completely turn it off. But i don't mind it that much.

There was no screen effect in the classics when you' were injured by the way.

Also these little drops of blood appear even if you are in "Yellow" status. Quite annoying to have to use a medkit or an herb just for that. So i just put up with them until someone releases a mod.

I think the biggest thing to keep in mind when considering these development choices is the fact that the game was designed heavily for the purpose of psvr so they wanted to keep it as real as possible since blood splatters do not naturally "go away on their own". I mean sure, they could have done that but I would imagine it would take away from the immersion a bit that they were aiming for from a development perspective.
