Does the dad ever die when looking for the 3 heads for the door

I have put him down 5 times to the point he is lying on the ground. Then after a minute he gets up again. And the endless running round like a ♥♥♥♥, looking for the third beast head antique thing for the door never stops. It's getting stupid. And the scariness of the game has now been completely deleted and I am not even that far into the game. Why would they do this?

He's immortal in this part. The only thing you could do is slow him down.

Nope, he will continue to revive, you need to progress to the next area inside the house for him to stop chasing you... (I assume you're only missing the Red Dogs head?)

The easiest way to do this part here is to solve the "eagle" puzzle first, then the "three a's and a handprint" puzzle, and then open the locked door at the boiler room. At that part, Jack will show himself after you interact with the last dog head, which you won't still obtain at this part, but he won't see you yet. Don't go any further because Jack won't be bothering you at living room anymore.

Dude... after what happened in the garage, you still tried to shoot him down? I mean... wasn't it obvious you should just say "♥♥♥♥ it" and start running away and find a way out of that house?
