About first aid meds.
Can we please discuss how pouring a liquid on your leg can magically re-attach your foot?
What is this, quick acting glue?

Ethan is infected with the Molder virus. That's why Ethan is sort of immune to pain.

I like how people don't question mutants the size of a skyscrapper that come from a single human in previous parts (law of conservation of mass?), nor do they question the fact that a woman can survive an axe to the shoulder, nor do they question the fact that a guy can blow his brains out, while laughing, and then come back to life and regenerate a huge f*cking hole in his head, but attaching a hand or a leg? Too much to ask!

Its so complicated this game. Luckily there is a DLC that explains how the baker family got it but Ethan? How did he get it? Even at the beginning of the game?

The first aid meds literally say "promotes cell regeneration." You pour it on your skin and any kind of wound heals faster than it would normally. If you go into your inventory and select the first aid med, it will tell you that in the description.

I don't know if the people above me are right about their claims since it's never clearly said in the game but Ethan uses these items before even encountering any of the family members or Molded enemies and it says the same thing. Besides even if what they claimed was true, it wouldn't make sense why he would even pour on something to help him heal faster if the virus already heals wounds nearly instantly.

I mean like it only makes sense that something like this would exsist in the Resident Evil universe considering everything else. Not every pharmaceutical item has to have an evil purpose.

Usually the spray heals the wound (notice how Ethan didn't attach his arm back himself), but Ethan got infected after he was knocked out, hence he is way better at regenerating, especially with the first aid thingy.

Like... Ethan was infected right? Even at the beginning of the game he wasn't infected, I thought nomarally he would of instantly die from the chainsaw cutting off arm etc.

He didn't die cause it's a game. That simple.

Then why would the family want him to eat the infected food? That is how they infect people, with the food (and probably exposure to Eveline over time according to some notes). They try to do the same thing to Clancy in the Banned Footage dlc. All RE protagonists take tons of damage from things that would kill anyone of us. Zoe re-attached the arm and probably put some of that magic medical juice on it or something but that's just speculation at this point. Maybe he is infected, but if he is then he's taking his sweet time to turn.

There are three ways that infection is spread in the game that is shown (maybe the notes list more or something)
Eating the food
Possible exposure over time to Eveline
and death (the cop was turning into a Molded when he died)

What you are saying is pretty much consistent with what I believe. Inspection of the First Aid Med in the combine menu directly states:

“Closes up wounds and promotes cell recovery.”

If you’re paying attention at the beginning of the game, you do see Zoe putting the finishing touches on re-attaching Ethan’s hand. Of course, like you said, it can be speculated that she poured some First Aid Med over the wound before stapling it and strapping on the Codex.

Throughout the entire game I always assumed that this was the case until you go to rescue Mia and Zoe at the boathouse. When you give her the serum, she explicitly speaks to Ethan about the usage of the Serum, and offers one to him (though he takes both). This would at least indicate that there is some possibility that he is infected. Or maybe she meant for him to give it to Mia, but in that case, she was awfully direct in speaking to Ethan.

Also is the case that Mia was coherent during that event. If the other was meant to be for Mia, why not just give it to her instead of offering it to Ethan?
