Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
ie: http://www.shezis-collection.com/Resident%20Evil/Misc.htm
Biohazard 7: Resident Evil
But why the seemingly arbitrary capslock? In one instance you can spell resident evil in all lower case but not in the other? Why does the first part need to be all upper case anyway? And how can it be BIOHAZARD 7 if there was no BIOHAZARD 1 to 6?
And yes, there were Biohazards 1-6. As has been stated already, Biohazard is the name of the series in Japan.
The name of this game is styled RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard in the west. In Japan, it's BIOHAZARD 7 resident evil. I agree it looks clunky on the store page but is it really worth a thread?
Okay that sheds some light on it but why is it (seemingly) randomly upper case?
And why is it called "RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard / BIOHAZARD 7 resident evil" in my (western) country not "RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard"?
Anyways, for RE7, they "combined" the two names. In America, it's Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. In Japan? BioHazard 7: Resident Evil.
You want to see a real name ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Check out Final Fantasy. Some games were not released outside of Japan, so some games were re-numbered. I think 5 and 6 became 2 and 3 in America, etc. until they just said ♥♥♥♥ it with final fantasy 7.
Because all caps is something that 12 year olds utlilize not something you would expect from a major publisher. Also as I have pointed out in my edit the game is simply called both variations on my steam store so it deserves "worst game title ever".
I will send them an award by mail.
The japanese are fookin mental.
Anyway, this separate naming thing is from back the first Biohazard that then was released to west as Resident Evil.
So yeah, in Japan it's officially Biohazard - Resident Evil.
If only it was actually different. For me it is combined.

Japanese must find it really annoying to have to find "Biohazard" in the "R"'s on Steam.
Resident Evil 7 <Japanese get upset
Biohazard 7 <Westerners get upset
Resident Evil 7 / Biohazard 7 < Works for everyone world wide.
Be happy it's listed as Resident Evil and not Biohazard.
Imagine the annoyance of having to go to B just for one or two games in the series like Japanese have to go to "R" currently for all there Biohazard games
