Hive counts as crit. However regular shots and head shots do damage as well. But since she can take a ridicioulous amount of damage, you'll probably want to aim for the hive.

Seriously...the ♥♥♥♥ do I need to do to kill this ♥♥♥♥♥. I use the flamer to knock her over, shotgun the hive. I start the fight with ~300 flamer fuel and 30 shotgun shells and she's still going strong when I'm down to 70 fuel or so and about 12 shells. How much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ health does she have?

I actually was enjoying the fight at first but this ♥♥♥♥ is just getting tedious now.

Do you have the grenade launcher? You really should get it before you fight against her.

It almost seems like allowing her to lay more nests either heals her or ups her hit points. Anyone else get that sense or can for sure confirm or deny this theory?

I don't think so. If so, it can't be by much. I just killed her on Madhouse with nothing but the circular saw by just camping in one spot and slicing her hive. She would run away and lay stuff, but she still went down in just a few minutes.

park yourself on the bottom floor in one of the first rooms. hide behind the table where you can see a fireplace to your left and a hole in the ceiling to your right. save the burner for giant mosquitos and swarms. always keep as much room between you and her as possible. she will try to lunge at you which takes a huge amount of damage. if she is on the ceiling or walls or jumps on the table, duck behind the table and she will have a hard time jumping on you. run around the table and shoot her. eventually she will die. faster if you use better weapons. it's better to stay in one room and fight her instead of running around all over the house because when you run around the house you will run into lots of swarms which can be deadly when she attacks at the same time. if you run out of ammo, go get some ammo and then park yourself behind the table again. save burner to also use on the spiders and to open crates. the knife takes too long and will get you killed.

I agree with trying to stay in one place as much as possible - with the exception that when she runs away I go try and find her because it pays preventing her from placing nests by shooting her off the wall. There's only three or four places where she does that so it's not to difficult to find her.
