Do the awful boss fights ever end?
I love the atmosphere and am even holding on through the nonsensical story and ridiculous player character, love how creepy and spooky the place is and get fully immersed in the whole thing.

But now there is a really awful boss fight every 15 minutes or so that is just completely ruining the game.
First the dad..... TWICE. And I know he will turn up again, he has to .
Then the mother, with those ridiculous insects and nests.... again TWICE now. And this second time she has long arms and legs and appears from nowhere.

There is no doubt in my mind at this point that these boss fights were placed in the game because they wanted to slow you down, kill you as much as possible so you have to reload again (sometimes to a previous save to make sure you have enough ammo and supplies) and again, take forever fighting them, just to hide the fact that the game is really only a couple of hours long.

Do they EVER end? Or is it a boss fight every 15-20 minutes now until the end? Because if that's the case then I'm done.

They were very sneaky to make sure you don't see how shallow the rest of the game is until after the 2 hours mark so you can't claim a refund. Very clever, again that tells me that they knew exactly what they were doing when they designed this turd.

Rofl.

Although in their defense, old RE's didn't have one "Every 15 minutes".

I wouldn't say RE7 does either. I've never seen a horror game with a boss fight every 15 minutes.

They kinda cease to be horror games at that point.

I don't remember any RE game (or any other game actually) that has so many boss fights.
I have 5 hours played and have encountered 4 bosses. The first couple of hours I didn't encounter any, so that's 4 bosses in 3 hours.
Considering I have died ♥♥♥♥ knows how many times now, and replayed these fights so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times due to how stupid they are, I can promise you that I haven't gone more than 20 minutes without meeting a boss since that second fight with the dad.

The first fight in the garage was just stupid, pressing mouse to push car in whatever direction the game wants to trigger the cinematic. Boring.

After that it was about an hour or so I guess, but in that hour I took about 8 or 9 attempts to get past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basement with those stupid swamp zombie things.

Then the second fight, again 8-10 attempts to finish that stupid ♥♥♥♥.

Finish that, walk outside, within 20 minutes I have flamer and the woman shows up. Most ridiculous boss fight ever, just stuck in a tiny hole holding down left mouse to burn her until she falls in.

Crawl through, into the next house, she is back, long arms and all, next boss fight is there, within 10 minutes of the last one.

If this is how it goes from here on, please let me know, I won't bother playing any more.

This one has ceased to be a horror game now as well.
It's just generic shooting at bosses game. Witha bit of walking to the next boss, then shoot some more.

What makes it worse is how great the game was in those first couple of hours.

The demo most definitely didn't give any indication that the game would be like this.

There are not so many bossfights in this game, seriously...

There are way more bosses in RE3 for example, if you count all Nemesis encounters.

Because yes, the majority of what you call "bosses" are just events. You're not even forced to shoot for some of them.
If you're struggling on Normal, then you're doing something wrong.

Yea. At that point it would be like first person metal slug. Even metal slug only has a few actual bosses.

I've died two times in this game so far and only because I seriously didn't know what to do, and both times the answer was "Keep shooting".

First Person Metal Slug... I'm... surprisingly ok with this idea. Could probably make it happen pretty easily using the doom engine and making all weapons projectiles instead of hitscan so you can dodge...
