Lillian spawning directly in front of the player

I thought the purpose of the Lillian character was to get you to run away and yet not look at her; a complex and entertaining (as well as scary) feature. However she has spawned directly in front of me a few times towards the end of the hour, thus meaning I am instantly killed. Is this just a bug or an unfortunate feature of the game?
As a side note, does anyone know whether the developers are considering future games in the horror genre? This game has some great ideas that should be expanded upon.

Best place to go to learn about each kids behaviour, And don't think it's a bug just an unfortunate feature of the game had the same thing happen to me just have to learn the patterns.

Thank you for the response! I will do some reading up to see if there is something else I should be doing. It just seems strange that she should spawn directly in front of me if the entire objective is to avoid looking at her - but I suppose a few more tries would not hurt.

I'm randomly getting instant killed by her in the Last Year and it's so frustrating. I pick up an item from the gravestone and turn around then she pounces on me. No sound or anything prior. Happened twice and completely unavoidable. *sigh* I guess when I pick up her item I won't start moving yet and try that. I don't why I have so many issues trying to pass The Last Year, keep getting screwed over. I even died while sprinting away in the opposite direction once going over rocks at the bridge but I wasn't stuck or anything.

Edit: Eventually beat it after like the 15th attempt. Felt like luck.
