When you say it's not working as you still getting the purple screen?
No, the rollback is not working, after download the 3.3Gb steam cancel the installation and start over again from 0Kb.
We've put a lot of time into this patch and hoped it would improve the situation for everyone.
Because we made quite a few changes (also trying to fix the infamous "black screen" bug) we released the patch as a beta-branch first. As far as I know, we didn't get any purple-screen reports. So this is very painful for everyone -- sorry for causing these issues!
We now need to find a way to help you guys. So far, we have no clue why the game is acting like that -- so we need your help to fix this.
First of all, please do the following in exactly this order:
a) Start Shadow Tactics.
b) See the purple screen.
c) Close the game via ALT+F4 or Taskmanager.
d) Go to your Steamfolder\steamapps\common\Shadow Tactics\Shadow Tactics_Data
e) Upload your output_log.txt here or send it to mimi@mimimi.games
NOTE: The output_log.txt is overwritten every time you start the game, so it only helps us if you send the version that was created after the purple screen appeared.
After you did that, you can try to fix the bug yourself -- and report if anything of this works or helps you, it will help to identify the bug:
a) Do everything we explained about the black-screen issue -- it MIGHT be the same.

b) If that doesnt work, try reverting to the version before the patch. Do this by going to this website http://www.daedalicsupport.com/en/games/shadow-tactics/ and follow the "How to change your installation to an earlier version of Shadow Tactics" description.
