Extinguish All Torches Badge Question

Hey so I killed literally everyone except the general and the 2 guys he talks to. all torches are put out and i went over the map with items hightlighted like 3 times, and couldn't find any not lit. I tried ending the mission but I didn't get the badge. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

I managed to get that badge on mission completion so it does work, it is possible you have either encountered a bug, or just missing a torch somewhere.

Im not sure if dropped torches highlight or not - its possible you didnt step on one to put it out, i would suggest hiding all visible bodies if you havn't already, maybe you will stumble on it.

Aside from that, check the map reallly slow like, from two different angles just to get a different perspective - you might find a stationary one you missed.

OOOOOH one of the dead guys still had his torch lit. I just assumed they always went out when they died. That fixed it thank you very much! i was going to go insane if i had to do that all again

Yeah thats a tricky one, glad it worked out for you in the end =) took me about 2.5h to do it. But definitely one of my favorite badges.

Hi, I am encountering the same issue, however i am pretty sure i extinguished every one of them and killed everyone except the target and the 2 officers+elder with him.

1- Is it possible I have hidden a body and that soldier had a lit torch already (which makes it impossible for me since I cant retrieve bodies in the bush/well/river/house)?

2- Do i need to sound the alarm because I noticed the "reserves guards" have also torches, and kill them all ?

never mind, it just appeared at the end of the game. Normally as soon as you finish an achievement, you get a pop-up from steam. It just never happened and I always checked the status of the badge in-game using "B" and it wasn't completed until I finished the mission

That's because lightsources can be turned on again, so you might get the achievement if there was still lights that are on. We didn't want that so it triggres at the end of the mission.

Still one of the most grindy badges and i wouldnt do one like this again :D

Samew here! After I had hidden all bodys i got the Badge.

If you're sure you've extinguished them all just head to the pier, you'll get the badge if you finish the mission

Double check:
Torch near the laundry / disguise area.
Torch carried by samurai who patrols the steps near the general. If you crush him with logs, the torch stays lit until you step on it.
Torch carried by straw hat guy at stables. His torch stays lit after the bull kills him. Step on it.
I would also recommend hiding all bodies just to be sure.

For me the only torch i missed was a stationary one just near a pier where we end the mission.
For a moment i thought maybe triggering an alarm near a tavern made me fail the achi as multiple guards with torches spawned, but nop, everything worked just fine (after loading save and extinguishing the last torch).

You have to complete the mission to get the badge. You can't get it while playing and checking with B.
