I wouldn't say I found any particular mission difficult as such, it was some of the challenges that were hardest. I still haven't done the 'no kill' badge on the final mission yet as the start of that is causing me problems! And yes before anyone says it I'm well aware of the method you can use to do it in like 2 minutes, but I don't want to do it that way, as I never would have thought of it unless I'd seen it done by someone else :)
If you're enjoying it then that's good value for money at least!
What exactly is the difference between Beginner and Hard? Is it just how aggressive the AI are when spotted? What about ammo? Like, does Takuma have the same number of bullets across difficulty levels? How about the size of "sound circles" when stepping in puddles, etc?
Agreed, the start of the MT Prison mission was challenging. I don't know how long the whole mission took me, but its beginning remained as the hardest part of the game in my mind.
You also have more bullets (for your matchlock rifles) im not 100% sure anymore if Takuma also has more sniper bullets.
Sound circles etc. are the same.
I do like the part where you have to regroup in a safe place, doesn't look that safe to me!
Edit: I just bought the Artbook and Strategy Guide DLC to help me, but I can't find it. I don't have a "bonus content" folder when I do Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files. :(
Edit 2: Ah, I had to update the game first. It's there now.
Hint: Hayato can swim :)
Have picked off a few guards through brute force and a million quick saves but no real progress yet.
I'll never understand the thinking behind 'last level has to be the hardest', no it doesn't, what if it was fun instead, because i'm currently just staring at vision cones wondering how long before i abandon the game, probably not what the developers wanted.
