But ive played all predecessors, Commandos, Desperados, Robin Hood and their sequels, so i guess im really used to this type of gameplay.
As to the OP, no the game is not hard. It is challenging and requires you pay attention. Maybe you are just not used to it yet.

I have stopped doing that now though, and adjusted to an idea that I dont have to do perfectly, and its part of the game and can work even as a tactic that enemies can sometimes see you.
Yeah it just requires some patients I think. Which is hard for some ;D
That makes the game a lot harder than it needs to be. But a lot more fun as well.
