Just ran into the same problem, after I killed the game with Alt+F4. Here is how I fixed it:
1. Backup your local files
2. Disable Steam Cloud
3. Start the game
4. Retrieve your savegames again & restart Steam Cloud
Or, long version:
1. Backup your local files
- Start -> type "%appdata% in the bar -> press enter
- Switch to appdata/Local
- Open "Daedalic ..." then "Shadow Tactics ..."
Your path should now be something like this:
"C:\Users\Diana\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment GmbH\Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun"
- Copy all those files to your desktop (as a backup)
- Delete the files in the folder
2. Disable Steam Cloud
- In your Steam Library, rightclick Shadow Tactics -> Properties -> Updates -> "Enable Steam Cloud ..." (remove checker)
3. Start the game
- Everything should be fine, except that you miss your save games :3
- Close the game again
4. Retrieve your savegames again & restart Steam Cloud
Option a:
- Copy the backup from your desktop back into the appdata-folder.
- Enable Steam Cloud again
Option b (didn't try, but should work too):
- Just enable Steam Cloud again
5. Profit
Would love to hear if it worked! :)
(If the question was up-to-date anyways. :X)
