How to get Helen to learn reading?

Hey guys, I'm 7.5+ hours into the game and I already beat the hero and "borrowed" his amazing shield. When does Helen learn to read? I think I'm past that scene. My Helen can only read Demiglas Tomb by the side of the house, but nothing else.

Also, is there a new game+ since I did ride the Giffin outside and see the credits, but nothing else happened.

Yes, you're probrably way past that part.

I think you were supposed to get beat the Demon King and get to the next floor, THEN you should go back to your starting area (there should be a shortcut to your house on that floor) and if you see a tombstone placed near your house, you examine it and after a cutscene you can learn how to read.

Yikes, any way to fix this issue then? I'm also not getting a new game+ if there is one.

I don't think there's a New Game+, so you'll have to play the game from the scratch to get her to read.

Also if you don't know. There's a secret area that you can access right before you ride the griffin or face Krace. It's hard to explain from here but it's in the woods in the starting floor, there should be that small corridor leading to left, on the left of your house. You can see that spot at the ends of the credits

Guys I know this isn't quite the place for it, but I'm stuck and can't find the griffin. The town is empty and there is a fairy following me around. What do I do now?

There's a hidden passage inside Helen's home, north from the dinner table. It leads to the last dungeon.
