Ship Overloaded and Stranded at Sea

Hey guys

My ship is overloaded and im stuck in the middle of the ocean unable to move haha

ive been able to throw things overboard before but am not getting that option now and looks like my only way back to a port is to get sunk :(

anyone had this glitch before? Its happened a few times now

Did you get your load weight under the allowable weight for the ship? I've had to get reid of quite a bit at times.

I ended up just getting my ship sunk so that i would lose some of the cargo i had, It was because i was doing the Ore Mining quest and had like 20 ore onboard, which is more weight than i thought it was, tipping me over the weight limit. my ships capacity is like 1400 so i thought i would be fine.

its happened a few times so i dont know if its a bug or something as i used to be able to throw items overboard while at sea to level out my weight but wont allow me to do it anymore

if you wind up being overloaded due to looting ot picking up too many items you can just go into Real Time mode (rather than the overhead map and if you are not in combat you can access your inventory from there as if you were in port, then you can just dump some items over board to lighten your load, no need to get yourself sunk

As i already mentioned, the option for dumping excess stuff didnt and still doesnt appear for me anymore, I dont know why but have tried several times - hence this post

you should be able to open up your hold and throw away stuff. the only thing is cant do that in battle so only exit the map when there is no event on screen so most likely will not have any enemies near you

I know thats the way its meant to work mate, and it used to, but its just not doing it like that for me in quiet waters with no enemies around, its cool though i got past it
