Trading and Reputation
Hello everyone, i'm new on this game and i've made some try to understand how to gain fast big amount of gold. Since i feel comfortable to do trade routes i've managed to study a plan in order to gain a lot and quickly. As others i'm buying tobacco from the green % and sell it on the red %. I'm with the merchants (using their flag and avoiding all the fight for the moment) but i've noticed that, even if i'm started with them, my rep is -54 and that they hate me. It's because i'm selling the stuff to the port of another faction or i'm missing something? Could anyone give me a confirm that doing trade routes from a faction to another the faction that sell start hating you? :S Thanks to all of you.

Thanks my friend. I have another question. I was playing at this game some days before the launch of this new update (the new DLC that came out in those weeks) and i've notice that, when i was start playing, % green and red were permanent in the cities; now they move constantly so it's really hard to invest and make money. I've made something in order to cause this (like hitting the faction's power of the trade faction) or is something that the developers made in order to make more realistic the game? :S Thanks for answering.

The Devs haven't listed the change log for the recent patches - however they did say when reputation was introduced as a game mechanic that they planned to eventually have it affect things like trade prices, so that may be what you're seeing.

I also noticed that something has changed.
And yes, it will be good if prices are less static. Definitely a step in the right direction.

However, if you buy goods at a green port and sell at a red one, you'll still make profit, just keep an eye out because they sometimes switch right before you enter port.
