Bera's Quest

Is Bera's Quest meant to be beaten in one sitting?

I ask because I got stuck in a deep pit with no way to get out (apart from dying). Unable to access the Map. I quit to the Main Menu only to find myself at the start again.

Don't know if you ever figured it out but I just finished the main game and Bera's Quest so....
Yes, it looks like it is meant to be beaten in one sitting. And you will need the triple jump to do so.
