Thoroughly charming from top to bottom. Of the many games that swing for that arcade/Saturn vibe, PGRC is easily among the best. The only knock I'd give it is that sometimes your car just goes careening away if you hit a wall or obstacle just the wrong way, but the resets are instant and the game is still so fun that it barely even matters. You can't go wrong with this one.

…In all seriousness Let me say what I wanna say about this game!:
- Controls that even a box of rocks would be able to get familiar with. I mean if you've played Mario Kart you could probably play this game
- The sense of speed that you get from successfully chaining a billion drifts can and will make you look like one of those Rat Fink homages. Though sometimes to take a corner you just have to slow down
- The downforce effects applied by drifting can be really useful (especially with the Real Physics the game uses) But sometimes you just crash into forever (Like on more complex tracks like San Francisco. Man I was flying around that place like a pinball)
- The aesthetics. In a world of retro-inspired indie games whose art styles borrow from the PlayStation library the Saturn-inspired visual style is certainly something I didn't expect
- Audio/video options means I can play this on my CRT monitor (As it should be)
- Additionally I was brought here by a video by the dev explaining how the car in this game works. The idea that youre controlling the camera and not the car in Mario Kart-esque games I would consider "Something that blows your mind!"
