I imagine you're one of those hardcore players.
Custom Battles would ruin that.
Custom battles are an option which most RTS games use these days a sandbox option were you can relax and not worry about getting to the next level.
This game isn't really that popular atm, but adding a sandbox custom scenario/battle mode would really help the games popularity grow.
Custom Campaigns which you can share would also be a nice addition, steam workshop would benefit most from it
I dont think you get it, because what he means is that you can make your own enemy fleet to try and beat with your fleet. And 'Sandbox' means you can do anything within a game, not anything from anywhere.
2: And that still defeats the purpose of GSB, developing a fleet to battle other fleets, with the optimal loadout.
A clarification:
You can already issue a challenge to yourself.
You can already create a custom challenge, too.
Neither of these gameplay modes require any new coding be developed for GSB1.
