Can people explain to me the late to event mechanic?

I honestly have no clue how you avoid it. I made sure both hours were free for the makeover and the wedding but for some reason BOTH my characters turned up late to the wedding. How does it even determine this or is it just random happenstance?

I think if the characters have unresolved problems, they'll be late. One of the tips says as much - I haven't had it happen yet, so I don't know if there's additional parameters.

But they already punish you with problem penalties at the end with the wheel of destiny. Why punish someone twice when most problem solving is just a case of waiting until a metre goes down. I don't think the late thing is caused by that because I have problem penalties a lot with 3 star peeps and it doesn't happen all the time.

Nah it's not connected to problems, I've had plenty of clients with problems and they still came to the event on time.

its to do with them displaying their bad habit, for which they need to have hynotherapy to turn into their good habit. in their profile, in the habits tab, the habit currently being exhibited is highlighted. if they are exhibiting their bad habit, their partner will be late and vice versa

Btw, is there a way to schedule Hypnotherapy for bad habits even if the person or his partner doesn't have a problem about it ?

A coach should be abble to do that, anticipating on the problem !

yes, if the couple have a chat, and the character on the right is exhibiting their bad habit(according to the profile), you can pick the bad habit love egg as a topic in the love egg machine. its the one that looks like a little devil with horns. if they are displaying their good habit, the bad habit will not appear as a topic in the love egg machine. if it's there, it might be worth cheating to get it, so they get hypnotherapy before it becomes a problem.
