Pretty Angry About The Ending

Spoilers ahead.

So at the end of the game, you gain town status. Hurrah. But then it takes you away to a new village without any confirmation from you and here I am in a new totally empty village with no money. What the hell? In my old village, I had residents I was manipulating for achievements, a couple of friends avatars who were close to leaving, a resident close to having an affair so I could solve another problem for that 'chieve, I was ONE building away from getting "Build All POI."

And now it's all gone. Not sure this was the best call, devs.

Oh god that sounds absolutely terrible, you definitely should have a choice in when you want to leave your current setup and start fresh. Or atleast a warning before a point of no-return so you can finish up your business.

Does this happen as soon as you hit lvl 20 or is there another trigger I can watch out for to prevent it from happening?

So once you hit 20, Kitty Powers comes and tells you that you need to help her with the meeting for town status and you have to pick a day to do it on. So yeah, as soon as you hit 20, it's over. It could be another week until the meeting depending what day you chose but there's no going back :'(

That is really bad since there isn't really a way to prevent leveling up, since you kinda have to keep leveling couples up to progress with achievements and goals you have. Also some people just want to keep playing with everything they have built and don't want to start fresh, they shouldn't have the decision made for them.

I'm sure the devs will listen and find a good solution though!

Thank you so much Kitty! I was expecting a restart bc thats how the last game worked but I thought I'd get to chose when I was done with this town, or at least wait until the end of the week so I could move on with money. I left Sunday afternoon with nothing! Spend nearly 40 hours on that first town too. Great game though, both of them, and thanks for taking feedback into account!

That's a smart move, indeed some people might want to keep their current village rather than start a new one, at least until all their couples have gone happy ever-after (or broken...) !

After level 20 in Matchmaker we restart in a new location, but we still have all of our investments (same black book and all the information we've unlocked, all our restaurants and upgrades, all our gold, etc.)

In this game all of our investments go into the village, and when we leave the village we have nothing? That's just plain mean lol
