But even if you have a lot of expensive locations it's still going to be hard to get a better job generated, since there're just a lot more 2-star and 1-star jobs than 3- and VIP-star ones.
Is there a way to get some kind of hint as to what is needed to get a certain job? Like I see jobs pop up all the time but I can't tell if my character will like it or what is even needed for the job. Feels like it's just too much guessing with no context hint. Like I'll see a job for a lollipop tester but I have no idea who would even like that or what skills might be needed.
Is there a way to get some hint about who it's aimed for? Like having the schedule interview icon be what type the job is aimed for instead of just the chic icon. Or instead of the guy always saying,"this job may seem glamorous..." to what it is ,"this job is very practical..."
When I see a job pop up I just look at the location and see which of the types is the biggest fan of that location. So if I see a job as at the library, I click the library and see that Geeks love the place so it's likely a Geeky job.
I think this would give a hint, but I honestly think that jobs are working like interests did in Matchmaker. So every job has a value for each type of person, from +2 to -2, meaning how much this type likes/fits the job proposition, +2 being "likes a lot" and -2 being "dislikes a lot".
I think this would be great, but I think it has to accomodate for multiple types per job. For example I know that fortune teller is good for Edgy type, but I think it would probably be good for Hippy (and maybe Arty?) types, so the icon has to somehow show all types that are good for the job.
Firstly does the character look like a type that would be suitable for the job. I.e. and edgy looking person would suit a job that edgy types would like.
Secondly the characters mood will affect the reaction of the interviewer. If they are happier they will make a better impression.
Then of course the questions are based on which personality trait is most suited to that job. These are pretty much common sense.
I hope that helps!
Yes because that's what decides if you look edgy/geeky or whatever.
