This game is actually hand-choreographed by the dev team, and built specifically for a dance pad. No generated tracks or etc. All built-to-purpose. Which means no getting twisted up, nothing impossible, and nothing random.
I find playing on a dance pad, personally, extremely comfortable.
If you're using a 4-arrow pad, you Will need an additional way to change your lanes left and right. You can do this by holding a controller or (if your pad supports/has it), mapping the Start/Select buttons too.
Cheers!
