Just checked out some artwork on the noclip website and I saw that this game was supposed to be much bloodier than it is now...

My question is: why did you abolish this idea? Was it way too innovative for a small studio like NoClip? Was it just eating up way too many resources? Or you just didn't want to keep it in the game? And will we get a modification that includes this extra gore?

are you talking about the zombies that were eating a corpse? well if yes i think that may be hard do implement in the game because well.....if they eat a dead body it is theorically weaker then normal zombies or even wont reanimate......i think?

No, not that. The one where blood was splattered on the walls, and also the one where the crawler kills a woman. There was WAY more blood than in the game that we have now.

again, look at the splattered blood on the background walls. In the actual game, only blocks that are on the game set itself can be covered in blood, yet in the previous versions it could be on certain background walls too.

Not enough time to implement that type of features ! It was just some artworks, I personnaly like the way it looks.

Kinda comes with the territory. Plus! There can always be a gore setting for people who don't like red pixels.
