Any hints? Seriously, one time I found a circle of rocks but ffff for the life of me haven't been able to reproduce it.

Same problem. There is a guaranteed way to find this circle of rocks.

There are some subtle differences in the initial chamber, the one you return to if you go an incorrect direction. With just a little patience you can work out the path by just seeing where you went wrong each time and taking notes. Took me 15 minutes to map the entire temple once I'd seen it.

To get to the stone in the Mirage Temple:

From the first room after the sign, go left, up, right, up, up, right, left, and up..

To figure this out (spoilers for some later game stuff too, be wary):

The third stone gives the solution to the puzzle. I can't remember the exact names of the symbols offhand so forgive that, but the crescent moon is 'left', the triangle is 'up', and the half bow and arrow is 'right'. Originally determined this by simply looking at the letters and saying "hey, these look like they could be directions. T shaped one (Toh) would be down, the triangle could look like an up arrow, etc.
