Don't buy this if you want to play in VR
Don't buy this garbage if you're looking to play on HTC Vive, it doesn't work in VR if your lucky it will launch in the theater which isn't VR. Don't waste your time or money with this game. Its false advertising. Out of the 30 times I tried to launch it, it automatically crashed 29 times and the only time it didn't crash was in theater mode.

Side rant: I'm sick and tired of getting these games that claim to be VR but aren't actually VR. It'd be really nice if it actually stated this game won't actually run in VR.

I will do more testing, but I have played the entire game in both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive several times without any errors. It was not in Theater Mode.

When you first turn the game on, if the headset isn't on your head, the game is in a paused state, which is a black screen. But putting it on your head should immediately load the first menu screen.

You can try to reset the game's video settings by going here:

C:\users\[your user name]\appdata\local\EmilyWantsToPlay\Saved

and delete the entire Config folder. Then try to start the game again.

Not sure what is causing your problems yet.

Manta I think I figured it out. There was a setting on Steam's side that I needed to check off to make sure the game is listed correctly as VR. Try it again, close out Steam, make sure your headset it connected and then start Steam up. Emily Wants to Play should say PLAY IN VR now if your headset is connected when Steam is loaded.

Ok so it launches fine in VR now but there's no way to control moving besides walking or the keyboard, is there no way to use the vive controllers?

I am working on the Vive controllers and a teleport/blink feature.

The game has been updated to use the Vive motion controllers!
