Emily Wants to Play has fun controller support. You can play with Xbox One controllers right out the box. I have my PS4 controller working with it too, but I think I downloaded special drivers a long time ago to get those working on my PC. Also if you are using HTC Vive, you must use the motion controllers, if using Oculus Rift an Xbox One controller works.
If you do click on the game when there is a menu open (with the mouse), the mouse takes control and you need to use it to pick the options in the menu. The control goes back to the controller though once the menu is gone.
