How do you survive against Chester?

I am at the point in the game where you have to survive against Kiki, Mr Tatters and Chester at the same time. I can deal with Kiki and Tatters easily enough but I can't figure out the mechanics for Chester. He is the little guy who charges at you. I read that it's based on line of sight but sometimes he follows me into another room and kills me even though I'm not in his line of sight. He also sometimes spawns in front of me when I walk into a room which makes it almost impossible to avoid his attack. What exactly are you supposed to do against him?

I've seen that you have to run into another room. (I'm basing this on the Let's Play I've seen and that's what the YouTuber did.)

Literally all you need to do is bypass a door and he despawns.

I'm not sure if you've gotten passed this yet, but these guys are on the right track. I just beat the game, and it can be frustrating. If you hear Chester, you have until Mr. Tatters says "Ah ah ah" to stop moving, which may give you an extra two seconds to run.

A tactic that I picked up was to run in circles from the living room to dining room, to kitchen to main room and back to living room. That will definitely despawn him. It happens even at 5 AM, so just trudge through it!

It's been a while since i've played it, but my strategy was to stand next to this door. Whenever you hear him, just go through. For all the others, just stay there, doing almost nothing.

Ok... so these all are responses that are telling you the right thing! I'm here to tell you a REALLY good peice of advice to survive against Chester. The way you do it (well... my strategy anyway...) is to locate where he is and run into the oppisite room. BUT... if you can't find him you will have to guess, but sometimes guessing can kill you.
