Dead end?

It is possible to be in a dead end?
Im in prison and tried everything, i fear i may have left an item behind

Hiya, did you get out of jail? There are no dead ends in the game as far as I'm aware. In this part it's mostly a case of doing things in a certain order. However, from a couple of play throughs I did notice

some people do not find a fairly hidden zone in the back wall needed to be investigated to progress
