I don't know whether it's possible to change the name (just by adding something to it), but maybe it's worth considering.
( from GOG so they are really mine, no drm no clients needed)
there is a walkthrough on youtube
some split it up in 12 small parts, usually an average AGS adventure takes between 2 to 4 hours provided you know where to look for an what to do, so i guess it will be more then 4 hours....
which is only 2 bucks an hour which is not that expensive, the averga eAGS games are between 9.99 and 14.99 euros.
search on you tube for Tales walkthrough and you get results.
search on youtube for:
tales Alfred Walsh and you get to the right on the screen:( i got About 292 results)

so usally you can find walkthroughs quite easily
I have to agree about the purely chosen title (in case the developer might ever consider another game, he might put some more thoughts into this). I think the poor sales might actually be due to this, as guides, walkthroughs and achievements are difficult to find online and in Steam due to the name being too generic.
I say it just so that it can get better in the future, because I love the game. It could have been named "Tales of Oblivion", or "Tales and Stories and Legends", or whatever makes it less confusing.
Haha, it is a combination of two things that Steam seems to hate: exact title search ("Dark" is another game that cannot be found in Steam seach but outside) and point n click games, that genre that will never be part of the recommendations, ever, ever. Christ Steam, you do really hate your customer base.
