It was constructed from scratch, and yes, I do have two cargo bays, but I did checked both and nothing. It happened at least twice now, seems like it was on reloading after closing. I deposited the materials, and the next day they were gone, i realized since I stockpiled quite a bit.
Also seems to only have happened with raw tritanium, as the sheets and other materials were still there.
Do you think you could zip up your universe and send it to me to dig into?
On windows universes are located in C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\spaceimpossible\server (or %appdata%\spaceimpossible\server)
On mac its: /Users/<user>/.config/spaceimpossible/server
On linux: /home/<user>/.config/spaceimpossible/server
Zip up the whole universe folder. Email it to me rexspaceman@gmail.com or can DM me on discord (rexspaceman).
Thanks, and hopefully we'll dig to the bottom of this in no time.
Edit: Sent! cheers!
Btw, great game, really enjoying it!
I still have my save, I can zip it and send it too if you want @rexspaceman
How did you start the station? Was it from your existing ship or did you build off something else? Was it the first star system or further in?
Okay, I'll try to remember my steps the most exactly possible, and sorry for my english (not my mother's tongue).
1st day
1. Started a new game, gigantic galaxy with custom seed 'Sagittarius', and I activated the sixiers pirates to have all factions in my game.
2. Playing in the tutorial first zone with Hermann's Junk Shop
3. At first, used the abandonned storage to store my stuff, mining asteroids around and storing things inside the abandonned storage.
4. After finishing mining the asteroids around herman's shop (selling excedent stuff to buy some tritanium), I constructed my own storage from scratch (using hermann constructor) to have more space. I transferred some materials into my new storage.
Everything was fine up until now.
2nd Day
1. Launched the game, and loaded my save.
2. I decided to warp to the zone next to herman shop, making back and forth warp jumps and storing all the rocks and water in my newly built storage at herman's shop. (I remember having two bulk storages full)
3. Played for 2 hours, cleaning all asteroids and getting back to herman's shop to store all my goods
4. Decided to call it a day and quit.
3rd Day
1. I launch my save, and I realize all the things I mined yesterday and put in my storage was gone. (My bulk storages were only filled with the things mined around hermann shop) But the upgrades I made on my ship was there, and the things I mined around Hermann's junk shop was there too.
Hope I'm clear enough and it can help. I'll send my save file with this message so you'll find it easily in your mailbox.
Edit: mail sent
Edit2: correction and adding details
When you are transferring items, how do you do it? Shift clicking? "Transfer Items From This Cargo Bay with Same items" aka Quick stacking?
We have managed to find a situation where leaving and then re-entering a space region, and then doing inventory actions faster than 1 per second can produce lost items if the ship is otherwise unaltered before game shut down. We've already added code to fix that. We are looking for other similar situations before we release a 17.1 update.
I use shift-click and I think 1 or 2 times the transfer all button, but I mostly used click and drag, because that way I can put my stuff exactly in the cargo I want (shift-click tends to put all things in the first cargo crate).
Some key moments:
0:05:14 - I build my storage station/block
1:04:00 - I warp to the debris zone to mine asteroids
1:05:15 - I warp back to herman shop, I put my stuff in storage, i disconnect and exit game, I reload, my cargo is missing the hauled stuff.
