Heavy Gear Assault Website Issue
I have tried to access the website for the game through IE-11, Opera, and the new MS Edge Browser for Windows 7 but it is not accessible.

Between that and a number of complaints about the game despite how much potential it has this would seem to indicate that the game has died. All this considered maybe Valve/STEAM should really consider removing it and refunding everyone who bought the game and has posted about not being able to play it..

A real shame that they chose to orient the game for multiplayer only. If they had given it a SP campaign mode it may have saved the game by drawing those of us who are fans of HG 1 and HG 2. I really wanted to play it but I found it to be too much like HAWKEN. Another online MMO game that has died because it offered only online play.

Developers have got to face it. There are too many games like this that where founded in the single player market that building from those games should be a given that they need to have a single player campaign offering that can keep the game alive if MP support fails. Look at Titan Fall 2. With the popularity of TF1 and all the demand for a SP mode beyond the "Training Mode" they released TF 2 with a Single player mode.

It is a crying shame to see a game with the potential that HG A had fail so misserably.

NOTE: I found information on Reddit and a number of other forum sites. I also found this tidbit and I link it here for one of the out of this world excuses posted for everyone's reading disgust.

I did recommend to STEAM/Valve that they lock the game page so no one else can buy it since they can not access servers to play it and to consider refunding everyone who has paid but can not play. At least until the law suit is decided one way or the other. Since in most likely either way it goes the game will be dead.

All things considered including the fact that the last "Update" for the game was in May of 2018 it seems to me that until the developers come back saying "ALLS GOOD!" the game is DEAD and needs to be pulled from the store by STEAM and ALL purchases refunded!
