Too bad about this game.
I remember playing this for a bit and seeing promise years back, but not going too far into it because I was waiting for the relationship system to be done (I really liked the witch). Lo and behold, the original dev leaves, things changed, and it turns out this promising game turned into a scam.

Really disappointing. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out that the devs pretended to care and try, but only wanted to put in the minimum effort to "release" it without actually making a game.

Another case of "Let's just throw some ♥♥♥♥ together and sell it to a bunch of idiots who expected a game."

It's not really the devs fault, it's their publishers fault, SOEDESCO. The devs are only following SOEDESCO's orders as they fund the game, be it good orders or bad orders. And they've definitely been giving bad orders as their games ratings say.

But yea it sucks this game went down hill, I had it on my wishlist for a long time waiting for the full release. Then all this transpired and I will never buy a SOEDESCO touched game.
Meh. One could argue that the decision to team up with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ publisher is what caused everything, but I'm just sick and tired of games I pay for becoming something I didn't pay for.

I can understand that fustration
It sucks that Hudell partnered with Soedesco, but ultimately and unfortunately it's the devs who choose whether or not to go with a publisher. I bought this game before Hudell joined with Soedesco..... and it was in a much better state in 2019.

Soedesco sadly made the decision to completely redo the game because it "didn't fit their plans for the title" and instead they made it worse.
IMO their 'vision' leaves much to be desired. It's a game that used to be good and positively rated with 1 person- and now it's somehow worse with a bigger team.

It seems to be happening more and more frequently that 'bigger' companies/devs are joining with or grabbing games/EA games from small/indie devs to finish the game and then they completely change it, or the game winds up abandoned.

All's I can say is I used to buy EA games all the time because I liked supporting indie devs, but now...... I stopped buying EA games in 2023 and I wait for games to fully release before I decide to buy or not.

It looks like they've gotten enough complaints that they're 'exploring' new features of the game "including a possible marriage system".
I still don't expect the game to get much better, it'll take years at this point.
