FOUND A MUSIC FIX!

i have found a music fix wich adds the missing music in the game here is the link: http://www.dotemu.com/en/forums/pc-games/support/earthworm-jim-3d-without-intro-music

just replace evreything with the files and you will be all set

I made the fix.. =\

And it isn't really a fix. It just that the steam version doesn't have any music files at ALL.
And the only way to get the music files to work is to alter the DLL and EXE to the GOG version of EWJ3D.

I'm glad it's still around and easy to find.
It's still weird that steam doesn't include it. =\

I opened a ticket about this around a year or two ago. Every few days, I got a useless response telling me to reinstall the whole thing, which I did a few times. After about a month, the guy gave in and said he'd look into it.
A few weeks later, he said "This is taking longer than expected." Then, about a week after that, the ticket was silently closed, and it won't let me open it again.

Fast-forward to now and I've found no official acknowledgement of any kind that there's any problem other than the closed ticket. :L

I've given up on the idea that this version of EWJ3D will ever have music, so I'm just going to live with it.

Is there any solution on getting the game to actually run? Because that's my problem currently.

Thank you for posting this information! I played through the entire game before investigating whether or not the audio could be fixed. :) I am looking forward to playing through the game again, this time with some tunes!
