Yeah, it's definitely like Windjammers, not so much like Disc.
Anyone who hasn't played Windjammers, I HIGHLY recommend doing so as it is a very underrated 1v1 multiplayer game.
I'm pretty psyched to see a remake of sorts. Hopefully it recreates the speed and gameplay fairly well. This could be awesome.
Would be too easy to go fast, you must know how to anticipate the blows of the advesaire too!
for that i want to bought Disc Jam :)
Theres a remaster of windjammers coming out soon.
Yeah, but that's Playstation exclusive, isn't it? I only have a PS3 with one controller at this point.
remember me the time when i was very young and i played cabinet in the bar
Especially considering a remaster of Windjammers is actually a thing that's happening(has happened?)
im psyched to hear there will be a official windjammers remaster, sounds amazing. please also on pc.
this disc jam game looks interesting too. but i am so afraid people will ♥♥♥♥ it up (no offense). i remember the speedball 2 remake/remaster was a total mess and i loved the old speedball 2.
i think i like the old windjammers more though. like someone said, its a very very underrated 1vs1 game.
hope this wont happen for this game and windjammers remaster!
and yes please make leagues happen :) a dream for a windjammers-like-game!
Did you even read the literal title of this thread? My guess is that's a big fat no, right?
But yeah, they're similar, in the sense that Doom and Portal are similar. Both are first person, have shooting mechanics but other than that, they're very very different games.
What I was saying was that despite the title, the TS may not literally mean remaster.
So yeah, TS refered to it as a remaster, but that may just have been a poor choice of words.
Well... no. It's not like the similarities of Doom and Portal. They share very little else than the very basics of FPS.
Disc Jam and Windjammer share a lot more things in common and it's a much more worthwhile comparison. Are there differences? Yes, but not nearly as many as between the example you brought up or even between this and many other sports games.
I don't understand why it's so difficult to understand the reason for comparison. Do you really think they're so different that you may aswell compare Portal and Doom? (I may have completely misinterpreted the logic behind the example)
