This is a common request and something we would like to explore as a studio in the future.
Thanks for your answer. An option might be to use graphical downgrade for splitscreen. I am quite sure nearly all who play splitscreen could accept it.
I switched to PC gaming because of the options it typically provides over watered-down console experience. Things like running two game instances at the same time, tweaking graphics, adding aim assist hacks for my wife, choice of keyboard or controller, etc. Seems like developers are leaning more towards "my way or the highway" these days which completely defeats the purpose of a game.
I prefer to to be able to run my software any way I prefer. And I definitely don't like this trend of developers telling me I'm not allowed to play a game with my family members because reasons...
Oh well. Here's your early access money in hopes that you loosen up, chill out, and offer a more user-controlled experience down the line so we can all enjoy a little Earthfall the way we choose. Especially since the online popularity of this game will dwindle and taper off, the only thing left will be us couch gamers.
It's not. Most current split screen games don't cut split screen from PC releases. The thing is split screen is not common on consoles too.
Also Earthfall is multiplatform title which lacks true PC features like modding support. Just your ordinary left 4 dead clone that will be forgotten in a month. It's competent, but lacks anything to stand out. Nothing too PC-oriented about it right now
