Some ideas
Hi again!

Adding the parking brake and adjusting weight distribution really helped.

I also totally missed UI scaling, which helped on SteamDeck, although scaling only the instruments would be more on point, as he menu is scaled down as well, which makes it harder to read.

Some ideas suggestions after having invested more time:

1) Great work! Just feels nice and runs most of the time absolutely flawless.
2) Placement of landing spots is too random.
I understand that this could be a certain appeal, but I had a spot where night approached, fuel was low, wind changed all over the place and the spot could only be approached by landing inside of a very small deep valley. Infuriating.
Which brings me to he following points:
3) Nights are a bit too dark and due to the random nature of landing areas a bit too hard to land imho.
4) I get the appeal of bush flying, and I love it, BUT even bush pilots have some standards, when it comes to the landing areas.
Maybe check for slope, vegetation and flat ara around when setting the, I guess, generatively placed landing spots.
5) It would look so much nicer if there were actual runways, like framed by rocks and/or guiding lights/torches
6) I like wind direction changes, but the frequency of it is imho too high.
As described above, approaches can be quite daunting, but landing a heavy plane with a low fuel into an impossible landing spot and mid flight the wind changes significantly twice... grrr.
7) After playing some time the engine sound sometimes stops playing.
8) Due to all the above: quick save button (save over last save slot or sthg similar).
9) I have no solution for it, but I do not like the water landing spots. Most of all they are not immersive, i.e. they are not represented like this irl. And ofc they are quite hard, especially with too much wind shenanigans. And the next lift off can be a tedious nigh impossible task.
A longer runway could help, getting rid of the collision active flag pole as well, but then there is still the turn around...
10) Maybe add some generative chill drones as bgm (Penatonic scale will always produce sthg nice ;)), the current bgm is nice, but this could add infinite variability.

Don't get me wrong, I do love this little gem, so much so, that I listed all what I would add/change if I had any me programming skills whasoever :)

And I am thankful that you obviously do.

Thanks again for your work & passion!

All the best

Thanks again for the in-depth and useful feedback!

In regards to the tough landing scenarios, stay tuned for the 1.3 announcement. The current deliveries are just plain random and I'll be focusing on adding more coherent progression and game depth, so you don't have to land on difficult spots with a low level aircraft, which in some cases is impossible.

For your other suggestions, I'll address them when they fit into what I'm working on.

I'll soon be getting a MIDI controller, so I can play music by hand and apply dynamics. So far, I've been transposing notes from my guitar or online keyboards, which sounds a bit robotic. Anyway, I hope I can add some nice new music soon. Your suggested ambient drones are something I wanted to do for a while now.

Edit: Ah, I just saw the generative part for the music. I actually made a bunch of Python MIDI generators back in 2020 that I completely forgot about. I could try to put the ideas to use here. Thanks!
