'Battle Varkaseer' Quest Bug

[Fallcos]

I have the 'Battle Varkaseer' Quest but can't complete it.
Varkaseer should have spawned on the 3rd floor, but I have already completed the 3rd floor.

I have tried:

-abandon quest and take the quest again.

-abandon quest, exit game, start game and take the quest again.

-abandon quest, exit game, uninstall game, delete all files from the game, re-install game, start the game and take the quest again.

But nothing resets the 3rd floor and so dose not spawn the monster I have to slay to complete the quest.

I'm lvl 27 on hardcore. so it's not a new character and I don't think I will restart.

Any help is welcome.
And please no 'I have the same problem'-reply without any new info or possible solutions.

Phew! You went to a lot of trouble for a character that is only just starting the game.

This sort of thing happens sometimes. When it does, I will usually continue on to other floors and come back to the problem area later, and the enemy will finally appear.

The other option is to just start a new character, since the one you are on is fairly new.

sorry I didn't say, it's not a new character, I'm lvl 27 on forsaken caverns floor 1, on hardcore. (will put it in)

I have had the problem for a long time and just continued. and now i'm back to the problem.

Well, that is strange. By the way, the floor does not have to be reset for the enemy to spawn. I usually just search the empty floor over and over again until I finally find him.

Also, I hope you don't have a portal on that floor. A portal there would keep the floor from resetting. Make sure there are no portals on any of those floors that precede the first Waypoint.

I'm sorry this is happening for you. You've been missing out on fame and xp points that you would get from all the following quests provided by that npc. His quests do not affect the story, but they allow you to gain points more quickly.

yeah, in a hardcore play you can use all the fame and exp you can get, so that sucks.

but all the time I have reset the quest, uninstall and so on, have been with no portals.
I have allways been in the town when I have tried to reset the floor.

yes, but no portal was open when I tried to reset the 3rd floor.

How did nobody pickup on where OP said they were?

OP's literally in the wrong area looking for a boss that's gonna be in the MINES underneath Torchlight, you know the first dungeon you go through starting out!

yeah at the time I replyed HiFive I was not on the 3rd floor, after I had been looking for the boss I continued on with the game. if you read all of it you would know this.
