Mods
I've decided to play the game again. I'm looking to mod the game with what I consider to be mostly quality of life changes. I'm not interested in big changes to the gameplay as I can barely remember it anyway so it will feel fresh enough. At the moment I've downloaded the following:

More Stash
Potion Stack Size
SSS Torchlight Texture Project
Total Respec

Are there any other quality of life mods worth considering?

Nice! I'm curious, how does one get mods? Is there a safe program I download or off of Runic's website or something?

You can get T1 and T2 mods here: https://www.torchlightfansite.com/

There's a little over 2k mods across both games. You can either manually install the mods or use a mod manager. In this case they use ModDrop which supports many games.

Alternatively you can go here: https://www.nexusmods.com/

They don't host T1 mods but do support T2 as well as many other games. They also have their own mod manager.

Thanks ever so much for this! I presume this site is safe and everything to download mods from for Torchlight?

You should do your own due diligence when it comes to what websites and apps you use. I take no responsibility for the safety of either site or their software.

What I can say is that ModDrop has had controversies early in its life. Not with safety but due to the way it acted as a central hub to mods hosted on other sites. Said sites and mod creators where not happy with this.

Nowadays ModDrop mainly serves the T1 and Stardew Valley mod community. In fact when it comes to https://www.torchlightfansite.com/ the owners of ModDrop essentially saved the website and all of its hosted mods as the original owner no longer made money from it via advertising and was going to close the site.

Nexus on the other hand is a more established mod website. However their security was lax enough that they got hacked a while back. Of course to put this into context so have major financial institutions with much greater resources.

I have no link to either site but have used both for modding (Skyrim, Fallout 4, Torchlight 1 and 2 etc).

I see, thank you very much for your honesty as I greatly appreciate it. I guess I'll see if I need mods to get those few Steam Achievements revolving around them. LoL I shoot for at least 61% completion rate when it comes to Steam Achievements in all the games I play so we shall see. Take care :-)

I've got 62 of the 66 achievements for this game. The only achievements I haven't bothered with are the 3 for mods and the one for dying 500 times. So you shouldn't have any trouble getting your 61% achievement rate.

Beautiful, thanks for the info! Yeah, I figured the more I kept playing, I'd keep unlocking them as I progressed levels. Already at 27% after picking up this game again for the first time since 2009!

Where did you download these?

Would be nice to have, but I am very concerned about downloading any mods, due to the nature of dishonest content creators, possibly sneaking in a virus of sorts in their mod.

Downside to mods is respec potions can drop attributes into the negatives.

Another source for mods would be this site. You can download/install the moddrop app and then install mods using this for both TL1 and TL2.
