Some tips on Star Nomad 2/Mini Guide

i have only been playing a few hours so i by no means am a veteran but i would like to post some tips

im just gonna list them in numbers if you have more tips that i should be listing let me know

1)A guide to killing and killing efficently:
A) you only gain exp if you deal the last hit
B) you only gain money if the system has a bounty for the things you kill (check
map)/ wars do not count
C) MERCENARY KILLS COUNT TOWARDS YOUR KILLS
(you need to have hired
them though from the spaceports)

2) your loadouts

WEAPONS: this one is pretty obvious if it says S: you can only equip up to a s if it says L you can equip a S M and L weapon in that spot

Launchers: this is not as obvious if your launcher is S/M/L it DOES NOT mean you can equip up to S-M or L it means you get more missiles to use if its M over S and likewise L over M

Drones: Drones are like launchers except its a little akward S means you can HOLD two drones but only have 1 drone fly around (this is because if that drone dies you have a spare drone)
and like launchers the higher the S/M/L is the more drones you can have stored and have out

Special Drones:
there is a drone out there(i have found it but wont spoil it) that picks up life pods and does NOT consume a drone slot

3) Gaining faction
your faction points is your faction standing hover over your character portrait to see your standings

The easiest way to gain faction is to do pirate bounties in the factions zone

You can also trade to the spaceports in crisis for FREE faction (meaning other factions wont hate you)

or you can kill a certain faction and the other two factions will like you better

the more faction you gain the better weapons/ships you can buy from the factions headquarters (its the space station that has bold white letters on your starmap)

4) Gaining Gravonite/Elpsium

A)The easiest way is to mine them
B) buy them from mining colonies (FORGE DOES NOT SELL THEM)
C) loot from enemy cargos
D) theres a random encounter (the exclamation marks on the map) that gives you some

5) MISC
1) Push f1 to see a in depth help screen
2) To use thrusters push shift
3) To use drones click in the middle of the drone weapon icon in space to launch them

Gotta try some drones as well, I'm still testing out the early turrets as money allows.

Other tips:

1. You can right-click on your wingmen to see from their perspective. Along with the G command, and right-clicking enemies to target them, you can sort of command the battle from afar if you're badly damage or if you are a drone carrier.

2. Press M while docked to see the map. This is useful for figuring what to trade at the next system you'll be jumping to.
