That's what I was afraid of. I would hate to make a profile with a class, name, and character. Only to max it out after several hundred hours of gameplay and want to change the name or character associated with the profile. And of course not wanting to delete all the hard work. Part of the reason I'd love class progression to exist outside of profiles. As in leveling up a class levels it up for every profile sharing that class. Or any new profile using that class.
Yea, I'm just afraid of making a class and picking a character. To want to change that character after something hundred hours, and not being able to. Not without starting from level 0 again. With five profiles, it's assumed most people will use four of them for a class each. And I'm sure most people will use each character, aligning one per class to use them all. But what if I'm sick of playing Sterling with Assault? And just want to switch to Wolfgang on my assault?
