BRING BACK THE REMOVED CHASES

The core element of this game are chases. You are helpless and defenceless. And developers knew this but still decided to listen to couple of crying kids that complain game is too hard, main argument being "i can't get pass this part i die too many times here". Well guess what another core element of this game is that you will die unless you master the AI and tactics which makes it quite unique regardless how many enemies are chasing you. The Church chase was so memorable and not that even hard once you figure out where are you suppose to go, but devs removed it because kids complained. Here is a simple fix to make both kids and veterans happy: Keep those chases removed in the story mode and normal mode, but bring them back for hard, nightmare and insane mode.

Unless the devs release a hotfix for things i just mentioned, i do not recommend the steam version of this game. And since as far as i am aware there doesn't exist a way to roleback to previous version, the only way to experience this game as intended is to pirate the first version of the game

Man, i don't know how to thank you. I was so desperate for the devs to readd these removed chases but i didn't expect nor see that a fan of the game managed to do just that. The game is finally playable again. Tested it now, works like a charm and the best part is it is keeping the content added in the latest patch (like the scene where you find Lynn you know the one i am talking about... yeah that one). Once again, thank you so much

hmmm thats actually quite a lot of scenes cut from the game. they dont even look that hard to pass either. its annoying how some devs cave in to players who complain when something is too hard for them.

Thanks, it's really unintelligent to cut good quality content from your own game just to appeal to few people.

Ill be happy if you reply it but i have one question. When you downloaded the file with removed chases they automatic go in the game or you must do something to activate it.

You drag them into the coresponding folder where the game is installed

is it a virus? i mainly want the chapel chase. but i'm scared and don't know who to trust if its a virus or not.

It's not a virus. Your choice whether you want to download it or not

how does this download work? i have tried every way and it does not work. what am i doing wrong? all the explanations i could find were not helpful.

Have you ever downloaded something? You don't understand how to drag and drop files in the game installation folder?

look man, i don't want an argument. all im saying is that i have tried literally every way to do it. and it is not working. i copy the 16 files, replace them in the destination, doesn't work. copy the olgame that is from removed chases, replace it in outlast 2 copy, doesn't work. extracting the 16 files, doesn't work. oh and, dragging the files from olgame into the installation folder? nope. selecting manually each file to replace into the copy? does not work. it comes from cookedpcconsole, right?

I think you need to start new game as well

That is pretty weird, it should work because you have done exactly what you needed to do
