Heretic Cave – Glitch?

I am playing Outlast 2 using a Windows 8 parallels desktop on my Mac. My graphics card on my mac is an AMD Radeon, R9, M390 2048 MB.

Some issues I've been having in general is the lack of real... help at all from the night vision mode on the camera. It barely does any help at all, and when I finally entered the Heretic Cave everything is pitch black. No camera, or any sort of shuffling about has seemed to help me and I'm simply stuck. Is this a glitch related to my use of a windows parallel on a mac?
