Fact is she didn't come across any of the issues you did because shes a better class of human being than the rest of us. The game is perfect just like she is, it is we who are flawed.
But don't worry. She doesn't mean any offence.
Doesn't really matter but im a guy. Also yeah, if you died so many times that you got too frustrated to enjoy it, consider a different game cause this one may not be for you. Maybe Uncharted, it's got a pretty straight path and it's story is a fun action-adventure romp
Actually though, you just might be a lower class human if you need everything pointed out for the game to be good. Ever heard of catching the players gaze? If you follow the light, something even an insect can do, you might not have as much trouble. The path is painted with debris, enemy placements, and light sources. Or you could just explore a bit, the levels aren't huge
Something a lot of people also don't seem to understand is that turning a corner will not make the enemy lose you immediately. Marta, when she spots you, will follow you until you two actually get distance between each other. Then it plays like you'd expect, sneak around her visual cone. And yeah, never been spotted through a wall. I do think most of your issues are because you're kinda dumb, offense intended
What are people expecting from this game? a walk in the park? I died, I wasnt perfect, I had to repeat scenarios over and over, but I didnt go screaming saying the game sucked. I simply sucked.
I thought the ending was confusing too! I didnt cry there... I didnt give up. The internet is a fun place to gather information you missed.
saying a game is bad because its too hard for you is a bad arguement. The title of this discussion should be "My skill is a joke" No offense. I came from a background of dying left and right playing this game. Please stop whining.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you are on a roll today, aren't you?
Outlast 1 was a relatively novel concept, and that matters. This one adds nothing to the mix except for fallacies. Why can our guy fight off some enemies like Scaled? If he can punch so hard that Scaled will be left gasping for breath for a few seconds - why not finish them off? They aren't exactly human anymore, they're actively trying to kill you, so if you're already willing to resort to violence to survive - why not go the whole way? And if you're avert to _killing_ - no problem, break Scaled's knee, or kick him in the groin to make sure he'll stay down for as long as it takes for you to leave the area through some obscure ditch or a hole in the wall.
It's not scary, it's not hard, it's annoying. It's trial-and-error gameplay with no rhyme or logic behind it.
I mean, there's a cult of "christians" and there's a cult of "satanists". Both believe that Lynn will bring forth the Antichrist, so one group wants to kill her and another one protects her. Blake wants to find her and go home.
Also, there's a dumb childhood trauma involving a pedo preacher who murdered Jessica and Blake never found guts to tell anyone.
There's also some fluff in notes that never comes up again like "christians" leader ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ his own daughters, following footsteps of some Old Testament characters.
None of that crap ever goes anywhere and no characters undergo character development - except for Blake who's for some reason gradually going nuts about Jessica's death, even though the present has superficial correlation to it at best (Christian overtones and bad preacher).
Also, what's up with rain of blood? If it's supernatural, that's gotta be explained. If it's an illusion, it shouldn't get captured on camera (like Blake's school illusions).
The flash from nearby military/microwave/radio installation that kills birds and stuns cultists also didn't get explained.
It's "Lost" all over again - you expect that at the end disjointed lines will come together and the story will start to make sense, but writers give you a big fat middle finger instead.
