cannot find way out of forest area

I am at a part where I pick up a battery and then a paper and then use a tree to walk over some rocks and then I find myself in an area where there is seemingly no way to get out of. any help?

so far this game has been one of the buggiest I have ever played. I hope that my save isnt corrupt and its something stupid. I have literally scoured the area and there is nothing that I can do.

no there isnt any monster following me. there is a couple of trees and some marks in a rock. I cant exit the area where I am. I have scoured the area anad have tried jumping and crouching but cannot pass the fallen brush. It is immediately after using a fallen tree to pass over some rocks.

I think we're having the same issue, are you at a point where there's a fallen tree across the river and it looks like you're supposed to pass underneath? Apparently you are supposed to crawl through and there's a trigger here, with a jumpscare. But the trigger is pretty iffy. Been trying for about an hour now. Including debugging.

no way man for real... thats what I suspected. usually my crouch is w because I use edsf to move with my left hand. I also find the default control sceme to be totally whacked out considering you have to use left alt as well to look back which is tough. especially with me because im missing part of a finger. but that isnt a problem here the bindings seem to work fine otherwise I just dont use the look back key. im going to try to use c and w to get under these branches otherwise I guess I am forced to wait for a fix beause ive tried to reload past saves and it doesnt help. ive tried taking the vsync on and off and that doesnt help. my guy is simply stuck half way through the branch and cannot progress any further. the same thing was happening with the beds.

thanks for all your help guys. thanks for bearing with me. it really means a lot that your taking the time to help me out with these issues rather than making it more difficult.

I'm stuck in the same area. Can't get forward because the path is blocked. Can't go back either

So I have to play through the school again, yay. I'm glad when I finished this game, I'm so done with it...

Ya same here.. I finished it earlier today and drop kicked it off my hard drive so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast that time stood stiilll for a second even though I was on speed the whole time.
