But there is a pinned thread explaining how to open the files and change some settings there
I would recommand playing the game in d3d10 mode. To do this add -d3d10 to the command line. You should get a small perf boost.

As for you question: there are problably TONS of other effects you can disable to make the game run faster. Look in :
%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Outlast2\OLGame\Config\OLSystemSettings.ini
Changing some of these WILL make the game crash, for sure, so keep backups of your files. You can try turning off "DynamicShadows", "AmbientOcclusion", and other effects... That *might* work, but I cant garantee.

We are getting update tommorow with some fixes for intel hd users right ? just wanted to ask is there any chance that the game will run even smoother? its really hard to run from someone with 20-30 fps...
