Low End PC

Hello everyone , i just wanted to ask if someone could make me OLSystemSettings.ini and change graphic settings (remove shadows myb for better frame rate).
I get about 12-30fps .

Intel HD 4400
8 GB RAM
Intel i5 4210U 1.7GHZ

Please help :) Thanks.

I wanted to say that all settings are LOW and resolution is 640x480 Trust me you can play like that but you can't read notes , main menu text etc. I tried to mix those settings but i dont know what is the best change like there is Shadow i can make it False but what then what settings to change then ..

I would recommand playing the game in d3d10 mode. To do this add -d3d10 to the command line. You should get a small perf boost.

I have one more Question , i was changing resolution to try best one and now when i load "Saint Sybil School" i just get black screen ... I don't really want to start from the beggining ... Thank you.

That's really weird. Can you try pressing ALT+ENTER to go back to windowed mode?

Hmm it is weird ALT+ENTER doesnt work but when i CTRL+ALT+DELETE and then click on Outlast 2 icon again i can play normaly that didnt happen before i change my resolution today to 640x480 ... I mean it was already 640x480 and i could bearly see anything i saw one more option with 640 x xxx . I think i am getting this glitch cos of that change ... i swaped it to old 640x480 but bug remains the same.

I fixed it with "Verify Integrity Of Game Files" is there any OLSystemSettings.ini that could help me like removing shadows? i did that with GTA V and i could play it on 20 fps :)

Oh that's great.

As for you question: there are problably TONS of other effects you can disable to make the game run faster. Look in :

%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Outlast2\OLGame\Config\OLSystemSettings.ini

Changing some of these WILL make the game crash, for sure, so keep backups of your files. You can try turning off "DynamicShadows", "AmbientOcclusion", and other effects... That *might* work, but I cant garantee.

One more thing now i have 30-62 fps but i want to lock on 30fps is there any command to do that or ?

The easiest way to lock the framerate at 30fps would be to use RivaTuner. That's what I use when I need to limit the framerate for a game.

We are getting update tommorow with some fixes for intel hd users right ? just wanted to ask is there any chance that the game will run even smoother? its really hard to run from someone with 20-30 fps...
