According to a post that RBS replied to, they state that they DID NOT PLAN a Mac version on release. In my opinion, there will be no Mac version for the game has many details that are only eligible for Windows (porting the whole game on Mac would take months). Outlast 1 was compatible with Mac because the game is low detailed (mostly rooms which Mac can handle), but detailed land scapes and high fog, no the Mac cant handle.

The game is available on ps4 and you should be able to refund it within 2 weeks after you bought it

I think Red Barrels should just contact companies that know how to port games to Mac like ASPYR...

god you are so full of crap, where's all these " Mac can't run games theory " came from ?

ok another LIE, another pathetic attempt from a Microsoft nerdy fanboy , lol. funny
they'd rather live in a LIE than admitting the truth Mac OS is a great gaming platform

ummm I think my iMac pro ran all games on 5k with maximum graphic setting and probably still got way higher fps than your windows pc

whats wrong with all these Microsoft fan boy talking about Mac isn't good for gaming crazy theory ? as if the Apple Mac don't have a capable GPU , lol , you know that my vega64 16GB vram probably are more powerful than that thing in your computer right???

and apple is going to release the modular Mac Pro in 2019 anyway
'

I feel sorry for you , being an apple fans makes perfect sense, because of the unification of the ecosystem and every part of their apple products with sleek design and beautiful ui/ ux , but being a Microsoft fanboy ?! I'm speechless:woodleface:

and lets talk about the portability for apps running on macOS

Aras Pranckevicius, a Unity employee, shared his personal opinion

This might affect niche/indie games somewhat more — on the other hand, quite likely many of them already use Unity or Unreal as their engine, so updating to apple Metal graphical renderer API “should” be easy.

Unity will keep on supporting Mac platform for sure. We already have supported Metal on both iOS & macOS for quite some time.

If you’re an indie and use Unreal or Unity, the heavy lifting will be done for you and your games will support Metal without requiring much more work from you.

for those sour pathetic stupid Microsoft fan boy
If you want to learn more about Metal, this video from Apple is an excellent introduction for non-programmers.

but still I will need to repeat, Microsoft fan boy are so lame.. w

I think ASPYR are giving up on the business and switch their focus to iOS , shame..
Feral interactive are the only one left porting games to macOS with such enthusiasticism
apple should really acquire them
